ATLANTIC AVENUE ARTS BLOCK – INGLEWOOD ART GALLERY

The Esker  Foundation

Type: New Construction


Start: 2010

Completion: 2012

The Atlantic Avenue Art Block stands at the gateway to historic Inglewood, Calgary’s oldest community, named 2014’s “The Best Neighbourhood in Canada” by the Canadian Institute of Planners. It is an ultra-modern 15,000 square foot contemporary art gallery, complemented by unique retail and premium office spaces. A LEED Silver certified building.

CALGARY AIRPORT
CONNECTIVITY CORRIDOR AND YYC LINK

Project Address: 2000 Airport Rd NE, Calgary AB

Type: Retrofit


Start: 2015

Expected Completion: 2017

YYC Connectivity Corridor project connects the existing terminal to the new International Terminal. The Calgary Airport Authority has constructed a secure Connections Corridor to move passengers quickly between the existing concourses and the new International Terminal. The Connections Corridor is approximately 650 metres long. The YYC LINK passenger shuttle features electric vehicles and eight new moving walkways, each approximately 50 metres long.

MARRIOTT IN-TERMINAL HOTEL

The Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal hotel features 318 rooms. Located directly in the International Terminal, this facility is another added passenger amenity for the over 15 million domestic and international travellers that come through the airport each year. It features a premier destination restaurant and extensive meeting room space.

The NCL is an iconic building that will rise over the existing C-Train line into four open, futuristic stories of space that will accommodate the ever-changing needs of Calgarians, from meeting space to quiet space, learning space and a multitude of other uses.

HIGH PLAINS INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE

MCCAIG TOWER - FOOTHILLS MEDICAL CENTRE

Calgary Health Region

Start: 2008

Completion: 2010

New construction of an eight storey tower (653,229 sqft/60,687 m² ) as part of a major renovation and of the Foothills Medical Centre. The Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) is the largest hospital in Calgary. It is one of Canada's most recognized medical facilities as well as one of the leading hospitals in Canada.

NATIONAL MUSIC CENTRE (STUDIOBELL)

Start: 2014

Completion: 2016

Designed by Allied Works Architects of Portland, Oregon, Studio Bell is imagined as a living instrument, a destination and a new kind of cultural institution. The 160,000 square foot, $168 million project is being built around the historic King Edward Hotel – Calgary's legendary home of the blues – and straddles 4th Avenue SE via an overhead passageway that leads to another vast building.

RIDDELL LIBRARY AND LEARNING CENTRE

Mount Royal University

Expected Completion: 2017

The Riddell Library and Learning Centre is a 16,000-square-metre, four-storey stand-alone LEED gold-certified building. Modern architectural design results in a unique and stunning building for the academic heart of the University.

ROCKY RIDGE RECREATION CENTRE

City of Calgary

Project Address: 11300 Rocky Ridge Rd. NW Calgary, AB

Type: New Construction


Start: 2015

Expected Completion: 2017

The 300,000 square foot Rocky Ridge rec centre sits in a park at the very edge of Calgary's northwest city limits. Proposed amenities spread throughout its three floors include an open-concept self-service library, a theatre, two ice rinks, pools, gymnasiums and a fitness centre. It's planned for completion in 2016 and will be run by YMCA Calgary.

SOUTHERN ALBERTA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SAIT)
TRADES AND TECHNOLOGY COMPLEX

Project Address: 1301 16 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2M 0L4

Type: New Construction


Start: 2010

Completion: 2012

The complex covers 740,000 square feet. The complex is made up of three buildings: The Aldred Centre (440,000 sqft), Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre (273,000 sqft), & the Cenovus Energy Centre (40,000sqft).

SOUTH HEALTH CAMPUS

Calgary Health Region

Project Address: 4448 Front Street, Calgary, AB T3M 1M4

Type: New Construction


Start: 2009

Completion: 2013

The South Health Campus is the largest hospital in Calgary. The campus occupies 1,776,000 square feet. The mile-long campus was developed as a partnership between the Government of Alberta and the Calgary Health Region. The South Health Campus is the first health care project in Alberta to achieve the designation of a Gold Seal Managed Project. It received a Silver Certification in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building program.
